The University of Saskatchewan's College of Dentistry is gearing up to support its graduating class of 2024 from the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Dental Assistant (DA) programs through a unique and innovative event - "Connections in Motion – A Speed Networking Experience." Scheduled for February 2, 2024, this event is designed to bridge the gap between aspiring dental professionals and potential employers, providing a dynamic platform for meaningful connections within the dental community.

Facilitating Professional Journeys

As the classes of 2024 (DA and DMD) prepare to embark on their professional journeys, the job search process can be a daunting prospect. Recognizing this challenge, the speed networking event aims to simplify the process by offering graduating students the opportunity to meet one-on-one with numerous prospective dental offices, all in a single evening.

Engaging Dental Practices

Beyond benefiting the soon-to-be graduates, "Connections in Motion" provides an invaluable opportunity for dental clinics across the province. The event serves as a platform for dental practices to engage in meaningful conversations and forge connections within this networking opportunity, enabling them to fill vacancies within their practices with talented and motivated individuals from the graduating class.

Sponsorship and Venue

The success of "Connections in Motion" is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Audi Saskatoon and the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Audi Saskatoon is graciously providing the venue for the occasion. The main showroom at 803 Melville Street in Saskatoon will be transformed into a dynamic space for networking and collaboration.

Interactive Networking

Participating dental offices have the option to engage in the event in various ways. The most immersive experience, ensuring engaging conversations with all graduating students, involves securing a networking table during the scheduled networking rounds. In a 'speed dating-like' format, students will spend time at each table, allowing them and the dental office representatives to get to know each other on a personal and professional level. Additionally, a reception area will be available for more casual interactions and socializing.

Limited Capacity for Quality Experience

To maintain the quality of interactions and ensure a meaningful experience for all participants, there is a limited capacity for the event. This intentional decision aims to create an atmosphere conducive to fostering connections and facilitating productive discussions between students and dental professionals.

All pertinent information regarding "Connections in Motion" can be found on the Eventbrite registration page. This includes the event timeline, registration details, and any additional information needed for participants to make the most of this unique opportunity.

"Connections in Motion – A Speed Networking Experience" is poised to become a pivotal event for the College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan.
