About USASK-DATE
From now until March 15, 2026, the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Dentistry is offering dental services at our Saskatoon Dental Clinic through the USASK-DATE program for uninsured patients or patients who may face barriers accessing Health Canada’s Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).
If you qualify for the USASK-DATE program, you may receive 100% coverage for specific dental treatments provided by senior USask dental students under the supervision of licensed dentists.
Who is eligible?
You may qualify for up to 100% coverage if:
- You do not have private dental insurance.
- You live in Saskatchewan.
- You have limitations accessing Health Canada’s Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). This includes:
- you do not qualify for the CDCP, or
- you partially qualify for the CDCP (in this case, USASK-DATE covers only the remaining portion).

How does it work?
If you think you qualify for the USASK-DATE program, follow the next steps:
Step 1: Call the USask Dental Clinic at 306-966-5056 and book your initial screening appointment. When booking, please provide the operator with this code: #DATE2026.
Step 2: Attend your screening appointment. The screening will confirm if you qualify for the USASK-DATE program and if your dental needs are within the scope of our students.
Step 3: If accepted in the program, you will receive a complete examination and treatment plan at no cost through USASK-DATE.
If you do not qualify for the USASK-DATE program, you can still receive dental treatments at the clinic at a reduced cost. Learn about services and fee structure at the USask Dental Clinic.

What to expect as a patient
